Web Applications Developer

ICS Learning Group is searching for a Web Applications Developer to join our team. The location is Pasadena, MD – just north of Annapolis and just south of Baltimore along the Rt.2 corridor. This is a full-time position. We are seeking a person with proven experience in designing and developing web-based ASP and ASP.NET applications. Knowledge of SCORM specification is a big plus!

Experience and Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum Experience: Two (2) years’ experience in the design and development of web-based applications using ASP/ASP.NET, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, MSSQL Server, and IIS.

Preferred Skills: Proficiency in ASP and ASP.NET (C#) programming languages, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, MS SQL Server administration, IIS administration, and development tools such as Visual Studio and Adobe Dreamweaver. Must be able to develop within a team environment, work/communicate well with others, and have the ability/desire to learn new skills as needed. The ideal candidate would also have an understanding of the concepts and methods behind developing applications for optimal speed and efficiency, as well as experience with eLearning standards such as SCORM.

Senior-Level Instructional Designer

ICS Learning Group is searching for a senior-level Instructional Designer to join our team. The location is Pasadena, MD – just north of Annapolis and just south of Baltimore along the Rt.2 corridor. This is a full-time position; remote/teleworking is not an option though ICS does offer flexible work hours.We are seeking an Instructional Designer with proven experience in designing and developing courses: instructor-led workshops, computer-based training, and web-based eLearning courseware. You will provide guidance on adult learning theory to ensure product designs are educationally sound using current research, best practices, pedagogy, and solid target audience and gap analysis. Knowledge of rapid development tools a big plus!

Experience and Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum Experience: Five (5) years’ experience in utilizing the Instructional Systems Design methodology including the analysis, design and development of curriculum, training content, and/or performance support systems. Understands the full design process and has used adult learning theories and applications in the development of training programs.

Preferred Skills: Knowledge of and experience in e-Learning tools (e.g. Adobe eLearning Suite, Articulate) and internet technology, ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a wide range and diverse group of people, proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint , ability/desire to learn new software as needed.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Analyze learning needs and performance gaps.
  • Work with subject-matter experts to create detailed design documents, course outlines and learning objectives for instructor led and/or computer/web-based training programs.
  • Create learning content and produces storyboards for implementation of web-based and computer-based training programs.
  • Work collaboratively with multimedia developers during the implementation phase of web-based or computer-based training development.
  • May lead a team of instructional designers in the design and development process.
